Family Support Services

The Ashland County Board of Developmental Disabilities provides support services and assistance to families so they can care for and enhance the quality of life for a developmentally disabled family member in their own home. The family member with a disability need not attend any other county board program but does need to be eligible and all services must be identified in an individual plan.

Food Services

The goal of Food Services is to provide meals that are nutritious and of high quality to all students and adults who attend our programs. The Ashland County Board of Developmental Disabilities participates in the National School Lunch Program and offers breakfast and lunch on a daily basis to all school age students.

The nurses at the Ashland County Board of Developmental Disabilities provide nursing care for the students and adults who attend our programs. We ensure on-going teaching to staff in order to provide health and safety measures for our clientele.

Residential Services

Residential services are committed to encouraging independence in safe, affordable environments. If needed, staff support is available to help people reach their highest level of independence and is usually funded though Supported Living, Medicaid Level One or Individual Options (IO) Waivers.

The Ashland County Board of Developmental Disabilities' fleet of vans and buses provides safe transportation to individuals of all ages throughout all of Ashland County. All drivers are safety conscious and licensed by the state of Ohio.
