Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and competition to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Through successful experiences in sports, athletes gain confidence and build a positive self-image which carries over into the classroom, home, job and community.
Special Olympics athletes must be at least eight years old and have a developmental disability. A valid physical examination is required.
